H.E ILIYASU AUDU PARAGALDA

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Nigeria
Ambassador Iliyasu Paragalda, a graduate of the University of Maiduguri, Nigeria joined the ministry of Foreign affairs in 1986. He was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in 2017. During his 32 year service, he served at Nigerian Missions in Maputo, Mozambique; Cotonou, Benin Republic; Accra, Ghana and Abu Dhabi, UAE.
At headquarters, Ambassador Paragalda served in various departments and headed units in Protocol, Consular, ECOWAS Division, West Africa Division, Office of the Permanent Secretary and the State House Protocol. Ambassador Paragalda has been part of Nigeria’s delegations to many conferences and bilateral meetings.
He is married to Salamatu Iliyasu Paragalda. They have four children.
